    • Brenda Reyes My PA program accepts any major as long as you have a BA or BS, but check out your PA school requirements to see what they require.

    • Adanna The PA can any major get into pa school? As long as you meet the requirements? Also do you recommend to wait a year after applying to earn more hours on volunteering/internships/patient care hours if you don’t have time to fit into your school schedule ?

  • Is college gpa different than high school? Because for us a B- wouldn’t knock your gpa down to a 2.9

  • This is very helpful. Got my first rejection letter that was nice enough to show me where I can become competitive. I thought my GPA was enough. Researching the school is a plus. Thank you!

  • Hey I hope you see this... I’m a psychology major with a biology minor. I’m thinking about medical field and I think PA would be the best thing, so do you think it will be possible.

    Danielle LumaDanielle LumaHace 2 meses
    • Definitely possible. Just do your research on the steps you need to take to get there

  • I’m a sophomore and I received a D in cellular biology my freshman year of college and I know I will retake it before I graduate because there’s no way I can get into PA school w/ a D in cellular & molecular bio so I want to know when I retake it, will CASPA average out my new grade w/ the D I previously got or will it just apply my new grade & act as if the D was never on my transcript?

    Korli CymoneKorli CymoneHace 2 meses
    • they look at both grades yeah

      Nigga ModeNigga ModeHace 3 días
    • I haven’t applied yet but I heard that they do average it which is why your gpa sometimes looks lower on CASPA than at your school

Anyways thanks for educating us♡♡

  • I have a Question. Will CASPA average the grade of a course that I repeated at another university or will it just accept the grade for the highest repeat course? For example I got a D+ in organic chemistry at one university but Got a B- at a community college. will these grades both count towards my science GPA?

  • so im looking to apply to pa schools but apparently as an International student, I have to enroll in and receive transfer credit and a bachelors degree or above at a regionally accredited U.S university plus I must complete at least one year of additional undergrad or grad study at an accredited U.S college. but I already have a bachelors degree so I don't know how to go about this . seems like a really long process lol but I know theres nothing God cannot do

  • Will I get into PA school if I take my prerequisites online with no attached physical lab?

    MrArnoldarnoldMrArnoldarnoldHace 8 meses
    • Adanna The PA Thank you for responding!

      MrArnoldarnoldMrArnoldarnoldHace 8 meses
    • Likely not. Most of the schools I've seen requires labs with the majority of their science prerequisites. However there are online classes that have online labs so you just have to look into those.

  • PA sounds rough! I will be taking some of my science and general courses at a community college, and then transferring to a four year. currently a LPN and I think I prefer this route rather than Nurse Practitioner.

  • do you think it matters if I have a BS or BA degree before applying to pa school?

  • Great info. If a school requires that you have to make a "C" or above for pre-reqs but did not mention anything about GPA what do you think that mean?

    melissa tindalmelissa tindalHace 8 meses
    • Well that will give you a ballpark on your gpa.. because it’s the average grade. So aim for a B in above to be on the safe side.. it will average out to 3.5gpa

      shino475shino475Hace 8 meses
    • Lol in some school's world. There are programs who have prerequisite requirements that state you cannot have anything lower than a B on any of your prerequisite courses. That's why it's important to read everything on the school's website with respect to the application process
